Huey had a whole week and a half off from his mini vacation then I went out of town for a show. I was only back for two days before I had to leave again. This morning I went to lunge Huey before I left and I am so surprised! Even after that much time off, he lunged on the biggest circle walk, trot and one lap at the canter each direction! He never once tried to run out or stop at the gate (our biggest issue)! And he did everything by voice commands! He is making me very happy :)
We are only starting to canter on the lunge. His hind end was so weak and he needed to understand the lunge before we canter. This was the second time I've asked for it on the lunge. He only gets about one lap before he breaks but I haven't pushed him yet. He will get it. I'm just very proud that he listened to my voice today and was on the biggest circle!
