And then we noticed Donkee..

Huey has been at the barn since November, but for some reason today was the first time Huey noticed Donkee. He was just so curious so we had to stop and visit. Donkee was trying to lick Huey through the stall. It was pretty stinkin' cute.
Now is our start with full time training. Huey arrived in November when I was up North working with the big leagues. He had started track training but never completed any because he was too slow. So since he arrived we just let him hang out, adjust, and grow but now the new year has rolled around, it is time to get going. We are starting from basics. He has become very playful and comfortable so even just walking around got to be a handful.
Today was the second day I have started working with him. I'm so proud already! He is standing [still], listening to my voice commands, and lunging (walk/trot) with no issues. This is a big step for us! Only about two weeks ago if we tried to go on a walk in the ring he instantly thought it was playtime and would rear and kick out and break away and roll and everything naughty you could think of. So we are off to a great start!
I also stuck him today. When he came he was a little under 16.2 and now he measures 16.2 1/2. Big boy :)
