Before I could even realize he had figured me out, he had already noticed I didn't close the indoor entrance and was attempting to dart sideways out it every time we came to that side on our lunge circle. So just as quickly as we started, we ended. Our quarter ran out. I was able to get one more full circle before I called it quits.
Well at that point I was kinda ticked. So new experience #2 for Huey- bitting rig! I love them. He wants to fight me? Well, he can go fight himself in his stall! Or so I thought that's what would happen....Once again is it good or bad I have a smart horse? First time I put Bryce in the biting rig he THREW A FIT! But not baby Huey..no, no. His first time and what does he do? Just stand there like an angel. Never flinched. Pfft... He did manage to eat some hay while he was hooked up. I still haven't figured that part out.
He also got shod today. I asked how he was and our farrier said, "you know, he was really good but he's just so into everything. Good thing I have my help to keep him occupied so he isn't always trying to see what I'm doing". Silly baby.
So today was a busy day for baby Huey. Makes me get excited and really motivated to keep his training going everyday.
